The Seti River rises on the South East slopes of Machapuchare (Mt.Fishtail) and then flows south, as a fairly typical Nepalese mountain river. This is a really pleasant, picturesque two day trip which offers an easier and shorter alternative to the Kali Gandaki or the Trisuli- no horrendous big rapids but plenty of friendly small ones. We offer two days raft trips on the Seti River. It has such a beautiful rapid like a “Jungle Corridor” and white beaches by a warm blue river, completely away from roads, villages, and civilization that it makes a great place to laze or camp. We have now several trips a week in high season, there’s a wide selection of beaches on which to camp , and you are far away from any road so it retains that precious ‘away –from-it-all’ feeling. It is probably the warmest river in Nepal and the small volume makes it appear much more friendly then larger river like the Trisuli.
We meet in our office in PKR or KTM at 6:30 AM with your very light personal gears. Then we start driving to the rafting starting point Damauli-really scenic road suffer. After arrival at pay attention to our guides” briefing about safety matter and paddling dimension. Now be ready with all energetic enthusiasm to paddling down to the confluence with Seti, Lunch served and raft down to keshavtar, the first camp, encountering with the challenge of numerous 3+ (4- in summer season) rapids and enjoying the landscape and scenery of the area. Have a fun at the camp; with campfire and tranquil night.
After Breakfast served, get set to paddle down to Gaighat encountering with the challenge of Cock and Rock rapid. Splashing each other and having enjoying the views at every turn, unfortunately, the water flow has already brought us at Gaighat. Lunch served and drives back to Ktm/Pkr. You have also option to go to Chitwan National Park for jungle safari (highly recommended).
